Reveal your brand identity
The core value of all successful organizations is their identity.
At ay!, we've designed different exercises to reveal your brand’s identity by understanding how your organization perceives itself.
In addition, we thoroughly analyze the industry your brand interacts in, researching your competitors and potential clients.

- What's brand identity?
Identity is what makes your brand recognizable to people and makes them perceive your organization in a certain way. It entails many things, but you can think about it in a similar way to how you think about a person’s identity.
Names are usually one of the first aspects that come to mind in identifying someone. Similarly, your brand name is one of the most important aspects of its identity.
Another aspect that might come to mind when talking about recognizing someone is their face, which translates into brand identity as your organization’s logo. This is what people will visualize when thinking or talking about your brand. It needs to be memorable, related to all identity aspects, and work correctly across all communication channels (website, documentation and presentations, social media, etc.)
The third important aspect could be summarized as personality. This usually means how a person communicates with others, how they react to certain situations, what their values and beliefs are, etc. When designing your branding, we take into account these aspects; communication tone and style, preferred reactions, values, vision, and mission, to create an identity that is personable and unique for your community.
- How does ay! design an identity?
We have built a set of exercises called makesense that allow us to reveal your organization’s identity by analyzing results from all your teammates. Participation can be individual or by team depending on your organization’s size.
The exercise is divided into brain, sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. Each of them lets us gather information to design the different aspects of your brand identity.
The brain, which marks the way in which all others are analyzed, is based on the Myers-Briggs personality types studies (based in turn on Carl Jung’s psychological type theory), which divides personalities into 16 archetypes by understanding five pillar aspects: How we interact with our surroundings, how we process information from the world around us, how we make decisions, what’s our approach to planning and working, and how confident we are in our abilities.
- What do I get from this service?
The most important thing you get is a deeper insight into how your team view’s itself in terms of identity and in what specific ways that information could be used to create community and attract projects that are of value to you.
In terms of deliverables, ay! will provide the following items:
- Identity presentation that explains our analysis of the makesense exercise
- Name and logo with all necessary logo versions
- Slogan
- Branding manual that includes visual and communication guidelines for your brand that set the basis for all future projects (such as web design, presentations, etc.)
